Data collected

  • Booking data: first name, last name, e-mail, phone, country of residence, pick-up location, requested options, message, tour date and number of travellers.
  • Payment data: processed directly by FeexPay. We only receive the transaction status and identifier.
  • Your account: name, e-mail, phone, language, password (stored only as an irreversible fingerprint), sign-in history, messages exchanged with the agency, travellers' names you add, reviews.
  • Tour photos taken by our guides: visible only to the travellers of the same departure once published; location data (GPS) is removed automatically.
  • Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser) kept for security purposes.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Managing your booking, payment and the organisation of the tour (performance of the contract).
  • Accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
  • Securing the website and preventing fraud (legitimate interest).

Recipients

Your data is only accessible to the agency and the guide in charge of your tour, and to our technical providers: Hostinger (hosting and e-mail, Cyprus / EU), Neon (database, USA) and FeexPay (payment, Benin). Transfers outside Benin and the EU are covered by the providers’ contractual safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

Retention periods

Booking data is kept for 10 years for accounting purposes (OHADA uniform act), then deleted. Requests without payment are deleted after 3 years without contact. Accounts without activity for 3 years and their photos are deleted during our annual data review, or earlier on request. Security logs (sign-ins, staff actions) are kept for up to 1 year.

Your rights

Under Benin’s Digital Code (Law No. 2017-20, book V) and, for European residents, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. You may lodge a complaint with the APDP (Autorité de Protection des Données à caractère Personnel, Benin) or with your local supervisory authority (e.g. CNIL in France).
